Following the exhilarating 2024 season finale at Irwindale Speedway, the series is gearing up for another year of heart-pounding action. However, there’s a major change on the horizon—Irwindale Speedway will close its doors in 2025, bringing an end to a historic chapter in Formula DRIFT’s legacy. While a replacement venue in Southern California is still under discussion, fans can expect an official announcement soon.
Beyond this shift, the 2025 Formula DRIFT PRO and PROSPEC Championship calendar remains mostly consistent with last year’s schedule. However, expect even better competition thanks to enhanced track upgrades at several key venues.

Rising Stars and Returning Legends: The 2025 Driver Lineup
The 2025 Formula DRIFT season will feature a mix of seasoned veterans and exciting newcomers. Among the most notable additions are the top three finishers from the 2024 PROSPEC Finals—Champion Tommy Lemaire, Connor O’Sullivan, and Austin Matta—who will now compete in the PRO Championship.
Irish drift legend Jack Shanahan, a multiple-time national champion, will make his Formula DRIFT debut, and Australian drift star Luke Fink—known for his YouTube presence and championship titles—will bring his flair and fanbase to the series.
The PROSPEC class will also see fresh faces, including 13-year-old prodigy Cameren Sorensen, who’s following in the tire tracks of his accomplished siblings, Amanda and Branden.
