Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 N DK Edition, developed with Keiichi Tsuchiya, enhances performance with carbon parts, improved brakes, and a dedicated drift mode for thrilling handling.
Hyundai has unveiled the Ioniq 5 N DK Edition at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon, a special drift-focused variant developed in collaboration with Japanese racing legend Keiichi Tsuchiya, also known as the “Drift King.” This high-performance version of the Ioniq 5 N elevates driving excitement, with exclusive upgrades that enhance its handling and drift capabilities.
The Ioniq 5 N DK Edition features lightweight, 21-inch forged aluminum wheels that offer increased width and grip while shaving off nearly 24 pounds. Behind these wheels, a new set of six-piston brakes enhances stopping power with a 54% larger pad area, ensuring better performance and longer-lasting braking efficiency. Additionally, the car is equipped with custom lowering springs, which lower the ride height by 0.6 inches, improving the car’s stance and cornering ability. Hyundai designed these springs to perfectly complement the Ioniq 5 N’s electronically controlled suspension.
On the exterior, the DK Edition stands out with aggressive, high-performance styling. A prominent carbon-fiber rear wing provides significant downforce, while a matching carbon diffuser and side skirts further enhance aerodynamics. These additions deliver a total of 205 pounds of downforce at speeds of 87 mph, ensuring better stability at high speeds.
Powering the DK Edition is the same impressive 641-horsepower drivetrain as the standard Ioniq 5 N (with N Grin Boost engaged). The all-wheel-drive system allows for flexible power distribution between the front and rear axles, and with the addition of a dedicated drift mode, this special edition is primed for serious sideways action. Whether you’re on the track or carving corners, the Ioniq 5 N DK Edition is engineered to deliver unparalleled drifting fun.
